Sacchidananda Murtaye
Who assumes the forms of Reality, Consciousness and Bliss

In Om Namah Shivaya, the goodness and auspiciousness we bow to inside consists of Satchitanada.

Sat- truth, reality, existence, being, that which exists in all times, all places and all things.

  • If we honor our own truth we learn self acceptance. With unconditional love and open mindedness, our truths and individuality can emerge.  We need not deny our feelings or pretend to be different.
  • To fully express our individuality is to express our truth.  A non-individuated person will express what people want to hear.  A fearful person will be afraid to speak their truth. A person without ego strength will be afraid of what others think and give up their authenticity.
  • Sat is the Being who never changes, who remains the same in all places at all times and in all forms, the Being who is pure, who never alters, even while dwelling in circumstances that keep on changing, decaying, and dying.
  • In order to receive true understanding of the world we have to open up chit..

Chit -  consciousness', pure being or awareness., that which illumines all things.

  • dictionary definition of consciousness is the quality or state of being aware especially of something within oneself.
  • This throbs in our heart as bliss or ananda

Ananda, nanda means happy, ananda means beyond happy

  • supreme bliss, delight, which can strengthen our spiritual impulse.
  • It’s not just the emotion of being happy which can change to misery and attachment. Bliss comes more spontaneously when we are not trying to make it come.  One stage of bliss is in the experience of pervasive bliss. The second type is simply the overwhelming sense of being present.
  • The very essence of Krishna (Shiva). There is a sense of "I" or individuated existence, but no longer any role identity.  The I is expanded infinitely

Murtaye - Murtie embodiment, the figure image statue from the verb murc which means to form to become solid.

  • Any image of the Divine either in a temple or a place of worship.
  • Make a puja at home a sacred place
  • The Dancing Shiva (murtie) Nata raja or the lord of dance. He is forever dancing out the rhythms of the universe-the cycles of creation (sarga) and destruction (pralaya). He is the master weaver of space and time.
  • Ganesh the remover of obstacles.
  • Our very own body, the temple of God is a Divine Murti filled with Satchidananda.
